2012 Stonecutters Block Chardonnay
Our Stonecutters Block Chardonnay (only 900 vines) is planted on free draining calcareous sandy soil, underpinned by a bedrock of limestone, making it a unique viticultural site on the Mornington Peninsula. This Stonecutters Chardonnay is characterised by primary lemon rind, lime and stone fruit aromas. Secondary batonnage and malolactic influences have brought good palate weight and texture which are well balanced by tight grained French oak (40% new).
